My partner and i have just returned from a two week stay at Blue Skies in the one bedroom apartment.
What can i say that has not already been said about this place and its wonderful owners.
Simon met us at the airport with his chilled beers and water which was very welcoming as it was mid afternoon. Unfortunately we didnt see Simon for the rest of the stay as he was returning to England the following day. No problems – Francine looked after us so well. Her advice on places to go and where to eat were a great help, along with the book in the apartment which other guests have written reviews (great idea). The apartment was brilliant very comfortable and clean and the welcome back was really appreciated.
The pool was great to cool off in at the end of the day on our return from trips out.
The dogs all provided us with great entertainment, each one with his/her own character.
The apartment is very close to most amenities but we did hire their car for ten days to enable us to get out and about and see some more of the island, which is highly recommended.
We both loved St Lucia, its lovely people, wonderful scenery and great food, and hope that one day we may return.
One again a very big thank you Francine for all you did for us, and apologies again for keeping you up late that night with a glass or two of wine. Not sure if it was the wine, the rum punches or the clean air but i have never slept as well as i did at Blue Skies.
We arrived as strangers but departed as good friends.

Simon and Francine are incredible hosts. From the starter food pack and the orientation tour – really appreciated! – to all the advices and little things they did for us, we really felt as we were with friend. We stayed for 2 weeks at the in one-bedroom apartment. Is very spacious, vey nice and clean. We loved the pool and the garden. It is a very quote place to stay. We rented their car and went around ….a bit of adventure but a nice way to discover secluded places. Simon and Francine also organized for us a diving cruise, a boat trip and massages ( try them! Terrific!). We followed their advices about restaurants and we always had good food. The Edge is in our view the best restaurant in the nearest area, but the food at “mama” on the beach was unforgettable! Simon and Francine are really happy to help in any way and we would like to thanks them again for that! We would recommend the apartments to anyone going to St. Lucia.

My family and I returned to Blue Skies this year and enjoyed it more than ever. Simon and Francine are wonderfully friendly…The house/ appartment is fantastic . We love the location…just a quick 2 to 3 min drive to many restaurants….Rodney Bay shops and attractions, marina etc very close…Francine and Simon will always give you good advice for restaurants and places to visit..
My daughter absolutely loves the swimming pool … and Francine’s pets…well we all do…There is a car which is usually available to rent should you wish to get around the island ..otherwise taxis are very reasonable and buses are even cheaper and very frequent…we use all three options and are happy with all three…anyone going to St Lucia will have a wonderful time :)

This was our middle week in a 3 week holiday, and certainly was the best for accomodation and facilities. Francine did a superb job, in a very relaxed way, of making us feel welcome and taking care of us. She drove us several times down to the shops or the beach, as we didn’t hire a car here. We managed well without a car, either through Francine’s kind lifts, or by bus, once we had orientated ourselves.
The rooms were very clean, had air-conditioning which was such a treat for us, and a wonderful pool, which we made a lot of use of.
We were supplied with lots of towels, for the pool, beach and bathroom. Everything was as described in the website. The appartment was cleaned several times whilst we were there. Everything was so relaxing and a perfect place to stay to relax and enjoy St Lucia.
We also hired Francine’s spare car for our next week when we stayed in Castries, and this proved cheaper and better than hiring commercially.
My daughters loved Francine’s dogs, especially the puppy Ludo!
The area had lots to do and we enjoyed everywhere we went. Francine gave us a very useful orientation drive when we arrived. All in all, a superb stay.

The apartment was just what we wanted plenty of room and a lovely setting. Francine and Simon were great to get on with and were very helpful. They never seemed to mind putting themselves out for us. The girls said it was the most relaxing visit they had had to the island.

Right from the very first e-mail contact, we knew we had struck lucky with Blue Skies, and by the time we actually arrived there we felt almost like family friends. Simon and Francine are incredibly kind and helpful and make you feel special. They want you to enjoy St. Lucia as much as they obviously do and seem to sense what sort of things will appeal to each of their guests. The little tour of the area they offer at the start is a great idea, and although they have probably done it umpteen times, they don’t seem to have lost any of their enthusiasm.
We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment, which is very spacious and has everything you need – including a starter pack of eggs, milk, bread, fruit, etc., which was a nice touch and much appreciated. We loved the pool and jacuzzi and the exotic, colourful plants in the garden and appreciated the quietness of the location (apart from the whistling frogs, that is!).
If you don’t mind walking, you can get to the mall, the marina, the beach or Gros Islet and Pigeon Island on foot, but there are also very frequent buses (which are fun!) or else Simon or Francine will drive you there:-)).
We would definitely recommend going to the Pitons. We weren’t keen on driving ourselves, not being used to a right-hand drive, so Simon and Francine organised a taxi to take us down there. We were really glad, as, apart from not having to worry about the 200+ hairpin bends, we learned a lot about the island, its history, people and vegetation from our excellent driver Ali. The climb up the Gros Piton is very strenuous, but worth it.
We would also recommend visiting Pigeon Island and walking across to the Atlantic coast at Comerette Point. You can’t swim there, but you can splash about, or just watch the breakers, and you are likely to have the beach to yourselves.
We have nothing but pleasant memories of our stay and would highly recommend Blue Skies.

I found Blue Skies Apartments on Trip Advisor last summer as I wanted to take my family to the Caribbean for a Christmas holiday. We took over the villa with my husband and I staying in the one bedroom apartment and my adult son, daughter and daughter’s boyfriend occupying the two bedroom apartment. Both apartments were clean and bright, and the kitchens are generous sized and well equipped. Most days we ate breakfast and lunch at the apartments, but walked to Rodney Bay for dinner. Though we swam at Reduit Beach twice, our favorite beach was at Pigeon Island. Simon and Francine gave us a lift every day and there were plenty of cheery taxi drivers to give us a ride back (10 min by car). We hired Ali and spent one day driving down to Soufriere to see the volcano, sulphur springs, and botanical gardens, stopping along the way to eat and enjoy the views. Francine and Simon were amazing hosts, arranging us taxis, recommending places to eat, and things to do. They really do open up their home to you, happy to help in any way. We especially loved their 2 dogs and the 3 puppies, making it even more feel like home. A friend of mine saw our photos on Facebook and after seeing them and speaking with me, he went ahead and booked a reservation with Simon and Francine. I know he — or anyone else for that matter — will be disappointed!

My husband and I stayed in the one bedroom apartment in December 2010. I can not say enough good things about Blue Skies and how great Simon and Francine are! A wonderful place to stay with great hosts!! Blue skies is in a great location, close to town, beaches, restaurants, bus stop, etc. Great apartment, very clean, beautiful garden and pool, kitchen was very nice and had basic food for us when we arrived. Simon and Francine are so friendly and were always there and willing to take us to town, grocery store, beach, or restaurant. They gave us a great tour of several beaches and places we might be interested in going the morning after we arrived. I would recommend Blue Skies Apartments to anyone going to St. Lucia. We can not wait to go back and stay at Blue Skies again!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment for 4 nights with our 2 children aged 11 and 10. Apartment was immaculate and clean , with beautiful flowers & plants surrounding the terrace. Very quiet location with just the sound of the tree frogs in the evenings, fabulous swimming pool and very accommodating hosts. Simon & Francine go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are very generous with their time. Apartment is minutes away from the sailing marina so perfect for us, and just 5 minutes drive from the supermarket and the beach. Thank you for a very relaxing & enjoyable stay.

I wholeheartedly recommend Blue Skies for everyone (families, couples with no children, etc)
